I think with this (OR Radiant) I might do well with either a small or a medium since it's pretty stretchy? I'm a male about 5'10" and 160 pounds, and got the medium sort of wishing I could try a small, but really, this is a comfortable fit. The medium Patagonia R1 fits me really nicely. I use my Patagonia R1's almost like a sort of base layer except in summertime, and the no-stink stuff seems to work well in the pullover (my R1 hoody is too old, doesn't have it).įit: I think I like the fit of the Patagonia R1 hoody/pullover a little better, but this fits well - just not *quite* as snug I guess. I also own a Patagonia R1 hoody and R1 pullover this is similar overall but I'm guessing maybe just a little thicker/warmer (?), but also perhaps a little slower to dry. But so far I like it a lot, particularly at this price. I should preface these remarks by saying that I JUST got this, no long-term evaluation suggested. If you must pay anywhere normal pricing than I advise that you look elsewhere. Is fairly warm for it weight (weighs in at 14.5oz - yes I do lightweight backpack and weigh my outdoor clothing)Įven with its problems, if you can get it for the cheap price like I did - ztwenty sixr, then I recommend it. The lighter fabric under the arms noticeably increases the breathe-ability. So durability may suffer - but likely just aesthetics will.īreathes really well.

The lighter waffle fabric under the arms/forearms is already pilling badly after only one gentle (front-loader washer) washing. If I was really cold I could probably tolerate it.

Like the thumb loops, it is bearable - just a minor discomfort. It is strange because the neck opening is not tight it just lies/is formed strange(I have a smaller neck).

Rubs a bit on adams-apple, a problem I usually don't have with zip ups. The neck is uncomfortable when fully zipped up. When I use the thumb loops there is some light discomfort (sleeves a hair too short), but minor and still usable. and the XL fits great (besides minor issues mentioned below).
